The four corners where Washington Road, Castle Shannon Boulevard, and Lebanon Avenue intersect is one of the most history-laden intersections in Mt. Lebanon. In this 90-minute hardly-any-walking tour, former Mt. Lebanon Library Children’s Librarian Judy Sutton will talk about the history of the library and how it works behind the scenes. (There will not be a beside-the-scenes tour.) From there, you’ll head to the nave of Southminster Presbyterian Church across the street for a talk on their stained glass and famous bells. Finally, you’ll move to the four corners themselves to hear the history of Mt. Lebanon as revealed in what you can see from this intersection.
